Judging Others

Judging Others

Mathew 7:1-6

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

“Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.

  1. What's the difference between judging and critiquing?

    1. Judging is concluding that someone's condition is resultant of the possible sin they committed, whereas critiquing need not be the same. It can be to voice opinion strongly against some one's actions based on self discernment and understanding.

But here again, just as GOD says to HIS people not to judge anyone because judgment belongs to GOD, one has to be careful with critiquing also.

Children of GOD are all brothers and sisters in CHRIST. I feel it is not right to criticize someone publicly in the presence of heathen, unless one is sure that the other person is doing wrong and revealed by the HOLY SPIRIT. First one should ask GOD'S help for discernment and not rely on self knowledge and wisdom, though one is rich in knowledge of the word of GOD. Some things are revealed at a level of faith whereas deeper things get revealed at a deeper level of faith.

I think it is good to personally privately advise or talk to them or pray for the persons that they should get proper revelation than publicly criticize before heathen, because that will create confusion amongst those who have accepted JESUS and are still infants, it will also give chance to the enemy to take advantage of the situation, later on if we come to know that the person is right through HOLY SPIRIT, we become very upset for our actions.
